Who we are
This website, grinner.io, is run by WP BUZZ Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13103657), at Electric Works, 3 Concourse Way, Sheffield S1 2BJ. Grinner is a product of WP BUZZ Ltd. We are the data controller for this site and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under number ZB886371. Our VAT number is GB443995944. Grinner is a free WordPress plugin, and GrinBot is a paid AI site builder add-on that is coming soon. Moodkit and Motionkit are free tools on this site. This page explains what information we collect when you use this website, and how we use it.
What we collect
We collect as little as possible:
- Your email address, if you join the GrinBot waitlist or our email list.
- Visit statistics from Google Analytics (see Analytics).
- Standard technical logs kept by our web server, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
This site has no user accounts, so you can’t create an account or log in.
The GrinBot waitlist
When you join the GrinBot waitlist, we collect only the email address you type into the form. The form is part of our own website (it uses the Gutena Forms plugin), so your address is stored in our own WordPress database, and a copy is sent to our team by email so we know you signed up. It is not sent to any other company.
We use your address only to email you about the GrinBot launch, including the launch price. We send no other marketing to this list unless you join our main email list as well.
You can leave the list at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or email us and we’ll remove you.
The form includes a hidden spam check (a honeypot field and a short timing check). It doesn’t use cookies, tracking or a third-party captcha.
Our email list
If you join our main email list on the Join page, we collect your email address and anything else you choose to enter. We use it to send you Grinner news, tips and early access to GrinBot. Our email provider, Encharge, stores and sends these emails for us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Moodkit and Motionkit
Moodkit and Motionkit run in your browser. The styles and backgrounds you make stay on your device unless you choose to share a link or export a file. Both tools ask before using analytics, and use it only if you allow it. They show no ads and we don’t sell any data.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to see how visitors use the site, for example how many people visit, which pages they view and how they found us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device, browser and the pages you visit. We use it only in aggregate, to improve the site.
Google Analytics loads only if you click Allow in the analytics bar. If you choose No thanks, or don’t choose, it never loads and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is saved in your browser and applies across grinner.io, including Moodkit and Motionkit. To change it, clear this site’s data in your browser and choose again. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell visits apart. They are set only after you click Allow. Your Allow or No thanks choice itself is saved in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. The waitlist form sets no cookies. If you are a site administrator and log in to WordPress, WordPress sets its own login cookies.
Who we share your data with
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run this site: Google (analytics), Encharge (our main email list) and our web host, which stores the website and its database.
How long we keep your data
- Waitlist: we keep your email until you unsubscribe, or for 12 months after GrinBot launches if you don’t become a customer.
- Main email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Google Analytics: visit data is kept for 2 months, then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Where your data is sent
Google and Encharge may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens, they use the safeguards the law requires.
